The Blanket Foundation

The Blanket Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established by Patricia L. Thompson in December 2008.  As I was driving one cold winter evening there was a gentleman on a park bench preparing himself for sleep. In spite of the elements he faced as he struggled to keep himself warm with the one and only blanket he had, I knew something must be done for him and so many others like himself. The very next day the blanket foundation was birthed. 

 Homeless statistics show between five and six hundred thousand people are considered "homeless" at any given time - without a “permanent, safe, decent, affordable place to live” With your help this number can change, we can't do it without you.

What We Do

We collect new and gently used blankets and sleeping bags which will be given out in the homeless communities. Our mission is global, reaching every city, state and country. We are reaching a community of people that otherwise would have been forgotten about. Reaching individuals three blankets at at time.
